DANVILE PARK GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PARTY AT MAKABONGWE WEDNESDAY 30th November 2022

On Wednesday 30th November Makabongwe was “invaded” by about 90 young ladies from Danville each bearing a shoe box gift which they had filled and designed.

This was a GOOD invasion.

No sooner had they arrived when each Danville girl found a new Makabongwe friend.

The connections and interaction was delightful.

Each class performed 1 of their Concert items followed by the arrival of Father Christmas. You do know that he really does exist?

Children were giving him their Christmas orders for 2023. It was very precious.

The Danville girls identified their shoe box and handed it to the respective child after they received their hug from Father Christmas.

As soon as the gifts were safely packed away in the classrooms it was playtime and I’m not sure who was having more fun – the Makabongwe children or the Danville Park young ladies.

The ringing bell signalled lunch time – a treat for everyone – hot dogs, juice, chips and a sucker!

I am sure the children were wondering why this could not be on the menu every day.

When the clock struck midday, we had to say goodbye to our new friends and return to a sense of normality which was very difficult considering the super exciting morning we had enjoyed together.

Enjoy the pics.
