We are very proud of our teachers and teacher assistants, all of whom have some form of formal ECD – Early Childhood Development – tertiary qualification.
There are a number of recognised Institutions where ECD can be studied either full or part time.
At TREE, Training and resources in Early Education, the participant attends a week of every month completing 20 modules over a period of 2 years.
At Caversham Education Institute, the participant attends lectures every second Saturday and in order to achieve a Diploma, studies for a 3 year period.
At Embury Institute for Teacher Education the participant attends part time lectures over a 4 year period to achieve a Bachelor of Education (Foundation Phase)
Last year EMMA DLADLA, currently the BLUE GROUP teacher Gr 00, graduated from TREE, NTOMBIFUTHI NDLOVU, currently the Gr R YELOW BUTTERFLIES teacher and NICOLA WENTINK, currently the GREEN GROUP teacher Gr 000, graduated this year from Caversham and RACHAEL JAMALI, currently the Gr R YELLOW BEES teacher, found her photo of her graduation from Embury College6 years ago.
