OUR VISIT TO THE ANIMAL FARM IN BOTHA’S HILL – TUESDAY 15th OCTOBER 2019

What started off gloomy and grey turned our to be a perfect day!

Thank you to our sponsors of the day:-

Kathleen Hastie Trust – for the Bus Hire and Entrance Fee which included a tractor ride

North Coast Bluff Meat Supply – for the delicious chicken drumsticks

Kensington Spar Durban North – for the freshly baked and rolls

Jenny Bamber – the owner of the farm

As the bus left school at 08h30 the singing started…..

“Old McDonald had a Farm’’ and only stopped when we reached our destination some 45 minutes later.

That was a lot of singing!

We were greeted by John who explained the program for the morning and we went on our way.

Whilst some of the children rode the tractor, others walked around “meeting, greeting and feeding” the animals.

It was a happy morning learning all about the different FARM ANIMALS as well as watching the cows being milked.

The mid-morning snack and ice lolly ensured the learners had energy to last the full morning.

To finish off a perfect outing, the children enjoyed their crumbed drumsticks and fresh rolls – I know this because there was minimal noise during lunch time!

The photos show the START and END of our day plus the events in the MIDDLE.

ENJOY your journey to The Animal Farmyard.
