Heritage Day was celebrated at Makabongwe on Friday 21 September. Ms. Thandeka Maphumulo was in charge and put together a lovely programme. It started with all of us singing the national anthem together and then each group performed songs and danced. Drums, shakers and great spirit meant a very joyful noise!
Teachers and staff looked great in their traditional outfits and many of the children had followed suit. One little girl sported a ‘rainbow’ t-shirt for our rainbow nation!
Bongi cooked delicious samp and beans followed by ice-creams devoured outside in the sunshine
It was a very enjoyable morning of singing, dancing and being together.
